28 Weeks 2 Days

Ah the progress that we are making!

Working with a surrogate to have a family is a bit of a long and complicated process involving multiple people, doctors lawyers and other professionals. As the possible date that the babies will appear continues to sneak up on us we are continuing to check things off our list!

DNA collection – done (well everyone but the wee babies)

Declaration of Parentage – we have the lawyer on retainer and she has all the info she needs so she can get cracking on the paper work

Hospital letter – written! And Mr. Duck is chasing down the managers at the Labour and Delivery at the hospitals! M at our lunch made the fabulous suggestion of meeting with the managers at the L & D to go over the fabulous time that we will be having at their hospital! I think it’s a great idea, and we are really hoping to be able to meet with them in the next few weeks.

And progress is being made on the Nursery!

Here are 2 of the 3 panels of the painting:

Here is the dresser (with knobs)

Gorgeous painting and great dresser! You are really getting things done, paperwork and all. I think it’s a great idea that you’ll be meeting with the managers – that should help things go smoothly.

You have been such a busy Duck! Great stuff….it won’t be long now! Are you going to start making some dinners to put in the freezer? That’s the one thing that I didn’t do cause she was early and man did we ever wish that we did. I cannot wait for 36+ weeks to arrive!
